Which data centre the waveforms are fetched from. Each one holds
different networks, so the station list changes with it.
The seismometer to listen to, as network.station. Only stations
still in operation are listed - not all of them actually stream, and
the status panel says so within seconds if one does not.
Sent to the connected hardware, which maps the current value onto
-step..+step. Larger means bigger movements. No effect on the
chart.
Seconds of data held in reserve. The providers publish in blocks
minutes apart, so this reserve is what keeps the stream from
stopping in between. Higher is smoother but further behind real
time; it grows automatically if it turns out too low.
